The proper identification of this rose is a mystery. Some rosarians speculate that it could be 'Pink Pet'. Sometimes it is referred to as the "Summer Carnation Rose". This rose has excellent disease and heat tolerance. It prefers well-drained, amended soil, but will tolerate alkaline clay soils.

Caldwell Pink was found by Dr. Bill Welch near Caldwell. Texas and reintroduced into the trade in the 1980's. This rose requires very little care. Drought tolerant and disease resistant. In our garden it is constantly blooming. Multiple roses would be great for a shrub hedge.
